304
Low Carbon Stainless Steel with good corrosion resistance. Heat resistance up to 428°C. Used in mild corrosive duties in dairies, breweries and in the food indistries. Because of its lack of magnetism it is useful in instrument manufacture.
321:
18-8 Stainless Steel modified with Titanium to enhance heat and oxidation resistance. Heat resistance up to 816°C. Used in welding applications, but its corrosive resistance is less than 304.
316:
18-8 Stainless Steel modified with Molybedenum to enhance corrosion, heat and oxidation resistance. Heat resistance up to 871°C. Used in high temperature, high tensile strength applications, it has good resistance in inorganic salts, reducing acids and acidic haildes.
316L:
18-8 Stainless Steel similar to 316 but with a lower Carbon content to allow welding. |
